Rebuilding shattered lives of survivors and co-workers affected by line of duty deaths, through partnerships with law enforcement and the community.

The Virginia Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors is committed to reaching out and providing support to all survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, as decided by PSOB.  Originally chartered as Central Virginia C.O.P.S. in 2005, the chapter provides peer support to survivors across the state.  Virginia C.O.P.S also provides support to the agencies of Virginia and reaches out to them in the event of a line of duty death.  We work steadily to introduce ourselves to our law enforcement agencies, police survivors and community.  We have established strong ties to our agencies and look forward to working with them in the future.

Virginia C.O.P.S. is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charity that survives solely on donations of citizens and businesses and is always looking for support. All of our board members are survivors; parents, spouses, adult children, siblings, co-workers, and others, that volunteer their time to providing the support and training that is needed within the survivor community.  We do not receive salaries so 100% of your donations go to the organization for providing resources to our survivors, to send survivors to Hand-On-Retreats and training in the law enforcement community.
